The Paris Bathroom

Vanity & mirror, shower & floor tile, ceiling. Design Dilemma Asbestos ceiling tiles, tub needed in small shower space. What We Did Previously, there was only a shower in this space, no bathtub. To stay on budget, it was important to add a bathtub, without changing the overall layout of the bathroom. This meant sourcing a small bathtub to fit the existing shower's footprint. As to not disturb the existing asbestos ceiling, we installed light-weight faux-tin tile panels on top. With that done, we moved our attention to building a beautiful vanity out of an old dresser, topping it with a custom-cut quartz countertop, installing 12x24 carrara marble floor files in a herringbone pattern (on top of in-floor heating), and using some vintage finds like the old school house cabinet, medicine cabinet, and farmhouse door to bring some of the original warmth and charm back to this century home.
